DEADLINE FOR ENTRY IS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30th by 2:30 pm
Started in 1969, Reflections is an annual arts recognition program sponsored by the National PTA. Kindergarten through 12th grade students have the opportunity to enter into six different categories: dance choreography, film/video production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts! Students may submit entries in all 6 categories, and there is no limit on the amount of entries. Reflections is designed to provide an opportunity for students of all ages and ability levels to use their creative talents by expressing themselves through their own original work!

Every year The Reflections program picks a theme. These themes are selected 2 years in advance from student entries. This year’s theme “I Matter Because……..” was submitted in 2018 by a, then, 1st Grader at Birney Elementary School in California!

Must be a 2020-2021 PTA member (link to join pta LINK: http://www.joinpta.org)

Each entry must be accompanied by an official entry form

Guidelines and requirements must be met or your entry will be judged (refer to program rules)

Entry Deadline: Friday October 30, 2020 by 2:30PM

Submit completed entries along with student entry form to Melissa Wilhelmi, bheartsineducation@gmail.com
(check back for updates on entry submission, as Covid-19 protocols are constantly evolving)

Student entries are judged based on the Interpretation of the theme, Artistic Merit, Creativity and Mastery of Medium

All entrants will be recognized at Bedford Heights final PTA meeting of the year (tentatively scheduled for May)

Ribbons will be awarded to all entrants

Top entries will advance for next level judging to HEB-ISD Council of PTA level with potential to advance to the Texas PTA and National PTA levels.
